smsweb's Send by Cell service allows schools to send an SMS to an entire group of parents or even to the entire school without having to be at a computer or connected to the internet. Simply send a single SMS to us, and we will route your message to the correct recipients.

Send by Cell was developed in response to the Eskom loadshedding we all experience from time to time, allowing schools to still communicate to its parents during times of no electricity or internet connectivity. It has since grown into an invaluable service for school tour groups, allowing parents to remain updated of a teams progress throughout a tour.

The Send by Cell service is also reliable - in fact, the Western Cape's Wilderness Search and Rescue Services, such as Off-Road Rescue Unit, Helicopter Rescue Unit, Fire Rescue Service, and Table Mountain Rescue Service, all make use of our Send by Cell service to notify its members of callouts during emergencies.

Send by Cell is unique to smsweb and comes standard with our normal SMS service to schools, and costs nothing. It's just another unique feature we have bundled with our service in order to assist schools.
